The CCAA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held today, and the outcome positions our association strongly for 2025 and beyond.
CCAA is the voice of the heavy construction materials industry in Australia, an industry that generates approximately $15 billion in annual revenue and directly employs 30,000 Australians, with a further 80,000 employed indirectly. CCAA members produce the majority of Australia’s cement, concrete, and aggregates, essential to the building and construction sectors.
George Agriogiannis was reappointed as CCAA Chair, while Vik Bansal was appointed Vice Chair. With the further appointment of four new Councillors, as enabled by the updated Constitution, the full CCAA council to take our association forward is:

In delivering his Chairman’s Report to members, George Agriogiannis highlighted CCAA’s major achievements for 2024, including the launch of the Strategic Plan 2024-2026 and the implementation of a modernised Constitution. This strategic framework positions CCAA well to continue advocating in policy areas critical to Australia’s infrastructure, housing, and construction sectors.

Our role will be to: • influence the political, regulatory and market environment to ensure growth of the industry;
• support the industry’s licence to operate; and
• lead the understanding of our industry and its vital role in society.
Looking ahead, the association’s focus will remain on three core areas: Advocacy & Reputation, Sustainability & Decarbonisation, and Resource Access & Efficient Logistics.
CCAA is committed to shaping policy to secure a sustainable supply of essential materials while advancing initiatives that contribute to decarbonisation, infrastructure resilience, and circular economy practices.
