CCAA is the voice of the heavy construction materials industry in Australia – and our members account for over 90% of the value of the industry, with operations across cement manufacturing and distribution facilities, concrete batching plants, hard rock quarries and sand and gravel extraction operations. These materials are all crucial to Australia’s building and construction sectors, and they support the development of our nation’s transport, energy, water, housing, defence, and social infrastructure.
Nationally, the industry contributes $20.7 billion to GDP and supports 112,970 jobs across Australia. It generates $6.8 billion in direct value added and underpins activity across the broader economy through extensive supply chain and induced effects.

The CCAA 2025 Annual Review tabled at the 2025 AGM summarises our activities over 2025 and objectives for 2026.
The Key Strategic Objectives of CCAA are:
- Advocacy & Reputation: Strengthen the industry’s narrative and reputation by highlighting its critical role in national infrastructure and climate resilience.
- Sustainability & Decarbonisation: Advance environmental practices, including decarbonisation and circular economy initiatives, and collaborate with government to meet industry sustainability goals.
- Resource Access and Security, Lower Regulatory Burden, Logistics & Workforce: Ensure sustainable access to construction materials and streamline logistics to support affordable housing and infrastructure development.
CCAA has three types of Membership:
FOUNDATION MEMBERS Companies that originally formed CCAA.
MEMBERS Companies engaged in the manufacture or supply of cement, concrete or extractive products. Currently CCAA has over 70 Ordinary Members.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS Entities that are directly related to the manufacture and supply of cement, concrete and extractive products – e.g. suppliers of plant and equipment, concrete admixtures & supplementary materials.
